Three faces of truth!
Tuesday, November 2, 2004

"There are three sides to every story: his side, your side and the truth!"

Listen to what A has to say, and listen to what B has to say. But you can't take both at face value. But don't trust your eyes either as you can be psychologically biased by whatever you hear first. So what is the truth?

I can see why to learn the truth, you must have no wish to gain. You must not want, so buddha says. (I am not buddhist, for the record.) For if you wish to gain, your perception to every story will be biased towards your gain.

As I was typing this, a friend just sent me a video of wing chun techiniques vs a kick. Most would see the video and say, "whoa, wing chun is really good! or the fighter is good!".

I asked, why is the kicker in a TKD uniform?

A perfect illustration of my quote above.
