Week Recap (8/1 - 8/7)
Monday, August 8, 2005

Here is my weekly re-cap. Last few weeks, the pictures have been slow, but this week, I took enough pictures that my camera door has now been jammed. That really blows as now I have to use my dad's S230 instead of my S30. I'll be missing its multitude of manual customizable features.

Monday was spent recovering from the effects of Montreal, the pictures from which I have already posted.

Tuesday, hung out with Hilda at lakeshore and bubble tea! That was a fun filled evening, taking random pictures everywhere!

On Saturday, I went racing with Black Pearl. This is a group of paddlers, that are unofficially Scotiabank's B team. Many of their top paddlers get recruited into more competitive Scotia teams, but some of them choose to stay behind. Paddling with people who have been involved in the sport for 8 or more years was really educational. Most of the other boats I paddle with, I hardly see anyone else with 5 or more years of experience.

Sunday was another dragonboat related day and we had our carwash fundrasier which raised $187 for the three hours that we were there. With only eight people, and with two of us having to leave by mid afternoon, we decided to call it a day prematurely. Still, there were very generous people who drive their Jags in to get us wash for $5, as well as these two guys in a CLK who had just taken that car in to the carwash the day before! Great generous people deserve thanks!

Jen was so hyper you could hear her screeming a mile a while!

Also a big thanks to Jason for scrambling out of bed to coach us even though he had raced 7 times the day before. He's totally awesome!

After the carwash and practice, Mike wanted to head down to the Taste of the Danforth and so I went down with him and Prae to meet Katie, Kim, Katrina and Yvonne. Jenn and Steph came and joined us after! It was good times, lotsa good food and sights!

Due to excessive spam, I have now moved my blog to http://dho.ca/wp. Please feel free to visit me there to comment!
