Destination Niagara Ice Wine Festival
Checking out the Niagara Icewine Festival this weekend with Zeekid and company. It should be a fun trip! Looking forward to great tasting food, drinking and cottage fun.
The Niagara Icewine Festival runs from January 15 to 30th this year. From the festival web site:
For three weeks in January the Niagara region is transformed into a wintry wonderland, celebrating one of Canada’s most cherished products, Ontario Icewine.
From Gala evening toasts to chestnut roasts, ornate ice bars and winery tours, the 15th annual Niagara Icewine Festival offers plenty for every taste. Join the celebration.
Ontario’s first Icewine maker, Inniskillin, introduced the product in 1984. However, the wine had already been produced in British Columbia since 1972.
Looking forward to spending some time enjoying Icewines as well as chilling with some 20 people at the cottage.
Ok, so maybe I might have to edit out the cottage pictures.
