I could not help but wonder what goes into the art and science of designing a toothbrush as I stroked the bristles across my enamel this morning.
What was essentially a bunch of bristles at the end of the stick, now became a high tech tooth cleaning device with no less than four different parts. Four that is, if you are not counting the flexible shaft and the raised dots at the rear of the toothbrush.
I remember going to different dentists and learning different ways to brush my teeth. When the latter dentist asked me how I brushed my teeth, I explained what the former had taught me and was met with a look of disapproval. Apparently, the methods of teeth cleaning had changed.
When I looked at my new toothbrush this morning, I thought about how I brushed my teeth. It was the most half hearted brushing effort as I was tired and in a rush to get something done. Yet my teeth felt so nice and squeaky clean. About as clean as they felt when I first used an electric toothbrush.
