C5 Galaxy military transport plane over Hungary
If you’ve ever wondered how detailed google maps satellite imagery could be, or perhaps how big a C5 Galaxy military transport plane really is, look no further than google maps!
I was surprised that you could see the aircraft, in really good detail, from google maps. No wonder militaries around the world sometimes ask for google maps imagery to be blocked from their sensitive installations.
To put into perspective how easy it was to find the plane, I saw the embedded map on Google Earth Hacks, and decided to find it myself in the full google maps. It took me less than two minutes to guesstimate the location and track down the aircraft.
We live in quite a world of irony where we uninhibitedly want to see all images and information while controlling what the world sees of us.
What are some of the things you’d like to hide from prying eyes, yet would want to see with your own eyes of others or the rest of the world?
