T-18 Days to Asia!
T-18 days! I’m excited for this backpacking trip to Asia. Trying to figure out what I have to pack requires some thought.
I started with the basics with mostly quick dry clothing, including outer shirts, inner shirts, underwear and socks.
Lots of tests to figure out how fast things dry, although that will change according to the individual climates of the countries I am visiting.
As one person I talked to at the store mentioned, footwear, rainwear and underwear was the most important. The storm that has been ravaging Mississauga for the past two days with no intention of letting up leads me to put an emphasis on my rain gear, and perhaps waterproof hiking boots.
My overseas journalistic aspirations are also compounding the gear decisions.
Tallying up the potential capital costs of this trip: dry fit clothes, backpack, hiking shoes, etc, this cannot be justified solely as a one time trip ordeal. The cost has to be spread across multiple backpacking trips. That’s my reasoning for making further trips anyhow.
