Tiger-Tel Oakville Charity Dragonboat Festival

The Torpedos launch from the start line at the 2010 Tiger-Tel Oakville Charity Dragon Boat Festival held at Lake Kelson on Sunday. Dave Pecharich, Festival Chair, estimates that the festival raised $70,000, which will be split between the Halton Children's Aid Foundation and Oakville Rotary Club's other charities.

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of shooting the Tiger-Tel Oakville Charity Dragon Boat Festival.I am lucky to be able to combine elements of my life that I enjoy. In this case, photojournalism and dragon boat came together to form a great afternoon.

Unfortunately, they were ahead of normal schedule so I did not get a chance to hang out with the Carps although I was hoping for the chance to, but still, good times!
