Playing darts in my friend's basement.

It’s been a while since I last played darts. It is a pretty fun game that requires a lot of fine motor skill and patience.

For a while, I thought about how I would shoot this with my S90.

I first started with maximum zoom. However, at f/4.9 and 1/25 shutter speed, all I got was a streak of “something” that was barely visible. You couldn’t tell it was a dart. I wasn’t prepared to push my ISO past 800 anyway.

In the end, I went up close enough that I was out of the trajectory of the dart and shot wide open at f/2.0 with a heavy crop for this picture. It was the only way I could get a decent shutter speed to see some dart as opposed to a streaking of blur.
