Hot on the heels of the Japanese earthquake, two 7.0 earthquakes rocked Myanmar this morning.

These two earthquakes are too far inland to generate a tsunami and no immediate reports have been issued on damage or casualties.

Thus far, there is only one reported fatality, a 53-year-old woman, who died in her house when one of the walls collapsed on her.

It should be noted that the epicenter for this earthquake is just 600km south of a 5.8 magnitude earthquake in China that struck one day before the Japanese earthquake that generated the deadly Tsunami.

Earthquake-report.com calls this earthquake a “Massive and extremely dangerous earthquake in the border area in between Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and China”.

The site also reported earthquakes in the region on February 1 and January 21 of this year, also in China.

While China and Japan have the capability and finances to weather the destruction, Burma, with the GDP of only $571 per capita, is one of the poorest countries in South East Asia.

Japan itself is not out of the earthquake crisis as it is constantly being rocked by earthquakes and aftershocks, including a 6.1 earthquake in the already devastated Miyagi prefecture.

With the plates in the region feeding seismic activity between each other, are things going to get worse before they start to calm down?

I think such poor country as Myanmar wasn’t ready at all to such devastating earthquake! Japan is powerful country and it’ll cope with difficulties and as for Myanmar, it needs our help and donation even more! See the exclusive video on http://www.torrentoff.com Nevertheless, I can’t compare what situation is the worst, mostly that they were different! But let’s pray!
