Open Mic at Marcellos
Last week, I spoke of community building by having more live music venues in Mississauga. This week, while being Kristen’s groupie, I found the open mic night at Marcello’s.
There was quite a large community, with over 6 bands playing that night. There was great energy in the crowd and even the 2009 Mississauga Future Stars winner Dale Luarca was on hand to play a set.
I’m always told that there are no venues to play in Mississauga. Yet, there are venues that are willing to open their doors to local talent. I hope this effort will help bands find places to play all over the city. If you know of any live venues, let me know!
