Mississauga: The ‘Hood? – Officer beaten with bat – The Mississauga News

At around 1 a.m., the victim, a uniformed officer with two years’ experience, was conducting routine parole near Helene St. N, just north of Lakeshore Rd. E. in Mississauga. He was attacked from behind, being hit several times with the bat. He defended himself and was able to subdue the suspect, a 23-year-old Mississauga man, until fellow officers arrived to assist in the arrest.

This is pretty crazy, lately, there has been an increase of mobbing of people for their stuff and now, a police officer got beaten with a bat?

I hope the suspect was drunk or under some mind-altering substances. If he was in a reasonably “logical” state of mind and still assaulted an officer, we have some serious problems in the community.

Policeman Tries Not To Laugh At Fat Guy

The cop somehow manages not to laugh at the fat guy. This is totally hilarious. I wonder why he asked the guy to pull up his shirt. I assume to see if he has a weapon tucked in his waist. However, I have not seen other arrests go through that procedure before.

Fired officer vs. ‘racist’ OPP

Larry Hay, 51, was fired earlier this year from the band’s eight-member force after telling Belleville’s Loyalist College student newspaper the OPP, RCMP and Sûreté du Québec are racist organizations.

That was from my ex-roomate’s article. Lived with him for less than six weeks last year (way less since he was never home).

One night, as we were having a beer, he made a passing comment that some OPP guy got fired over some article he wrote.

He himself was Ojibwa so the Mohawks had let him into the camp when they were holding a blockade. During which time, he quoted “something” from the first nations police chief which got the chief fired. So the OPP wanted to know the background behind it and the Mohawks were not happy with him for getting their chief fired.

I was thinking “am I going to wake up in the middle of the night with Mohawk Warriors or OPP banging down my door?”

Truck Blitz!

Truck Blitz

Officer Stephen Chapman of the Peel Regional Traffic Unit inspects a truck for possible safety infractions at the International Centre this Friday.

The infractions range from bald tires and rusted frames all the way to fluid and fuel leaks.

Officers patrolled the area around Airport and Dixie Roads and escorted vehicles that looked unsafe into the North West corner of the International Centre Parking lot to be inspected. Inspections take anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes for a small vehicle to an hour for a large truck.

If an infraction is found, the vehicle will be set aside. Operators will be given an opportunity to fix minor infractions while the licence plates will be removed and the vehicle towed for larger infractions.
