Carpe Diem! Seize the day!

This great name for a dragon boat team required an equally awesome logo. Being a water sport, the team needed a logo that would play upon the name Carpe Diem.

I thus picked a carp, a play on words for the name, as it represented water. I then repeated an “A” shape to form the carp. This was symbolic for two reasons.

1. The repetition symbolized the paddlers of the boat.
2. The “A” shape was symbolic of the “A” frame that paddlers use for good paddling form.
